are there any tests for nutriets in soil?

Yes, there are, but they seem to be often done by professional soils labs. When I did my A2 Biology coursework, soil was involved and I wasn't able to test soil nutrient levels and had to comment on this in my evaluation. But it could be done.

Indeed there are tests for nutrients in soil. But as said before, they are usually only conducting in research institutes checking the composition of soil of a region.
