    Hey Toria,

You're not on your own. I'm a mature student and starting Lincoln in September. What are you going to be studying? I'm doing Psychology.

Nice to hear from you. Pleased to hear I'm not the only one out there. The closer it gets to the start date. The older I am starting to feel ha ha.

I am going to be studying social work.

Are you looking forward to starting?

    LOL

It's the same for me. I went to the applicant open day and was the oldest person there!

I'm really looking forward to getting started, now college is over I'm sat twiddling my thumbs, impatient for September to get here!

I am indeed! I'll be studying illustration, I'll also be travelling in by car, just not too sure about where will be the best place to park because the building I'm in for the first year is in The cathedral quarter. I'll not be walking that hill every day that's for sure!

If you are an international postgraduate student, you will be invited to attend a tea party hosted by the Vice-Chancellor which will take place on Wednesday 3rd October from 5.00 pm – 7.00 pm in the EMMTEC building on the Brayford campus.

This will be an opportunity for you to meet other postgraduate students, as well as academic members of staff.

not sure if it's really for only an international student or all postgraduates

I'm doing single award Psychology initially, but from what I've been reading, the forensic stuff should be really interesting and I may switch to that come 2nd year. (if I don't change my mind again)

Hi guys. Myself (30) and a friend (40something) are starting at Lincoln this year doing Biology. Driving in from out of town though so hope I can find some cheap/free parking somewhere that isn't too far out from the uni!

Wonder if they have an oldies society at Lincoln :P

I guess we can always start one up!

Is everyone going to the meet and greet on Sunday 16th? I know it's the move in day for people with accommodation, but I wanted to go that night too so I can hopefully meet a few people and get to know them better before the madness of Freshers Week begins the day after.

I think it's going to be more difficult to feel a part of everything if you aren't staying on campus so the more opportunities I have of meeting people I'll be jumping at them!.

On the Lincoln Uni website there is a welcome week pdf booklet and it's mentioned in there. We will get the booklet through the mail too, but if you have a quick read online it mentions the Sunday night meet and greet. :-)
