    My workload would also have been higher if I bothered going to lectures. But I didn't.
    Lol, that tactic doesn't work for physics as you need to solve problems...and you can't really do that in a sleep deprived state. Although yeah, I skipped lectures too (at Cambridge though) and had a reasonable amount of free time. Did result in me getting a rubbish mark though!

    It all depends on you, your time management, and your ability to retain/learn/understand information. If you're really clever then you're going to be able to afford a good social life too. If your not as able to retain information and understand it then naturally your work life will have to take precedence.
