Will having received a part-time grant affect my chances of help from the SLC?
I am aiming for 2013 entry and currently studying part-time with the Open University. I did not do amazingly in my A levels so I will be using the courses I'm studying with the OU at the moment to gain entry (emails have confirmed this is possible) also as I'm technically a mature student.
Except I've realised I've already had 'some support' from the Student Loans Company in the form of a part-time grant of £265 for one of my courses. No loans or anything though, and my course fees are paid by the OU so nothing to do with the SLC.
I just need to know whether this grant I received is going to affect my chances of getting support?
Apologies if this seems like a silly question or if this is answered elsewhere but I can't seem to find anything, and when I do it's conflicting information, and the SLC answer machine doesn't seem to cater for what I need, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
