Just dont let them take you for a mug. You have to deal with them just as you would any one else selling a second hand car.
1. Check the car over properly. Dont let their sales talk get you, if they say its good then make sure it is.
2. Haggle. It doesnt hurt to haggle a price with them, chances are they have some room to negotiate a price to get the sale.
3. Look around else where. People make this mistake soooo much. Just because you like the car doesnt mean you have to buy it, see if you can get a better deal elsewhere.
These are the basics, theres many more things I could say but at least stick to these. If you're young then take someone older with you like your dad, they're less likely to try and rip you off with someone a bit more intimidating there. -

Try and avoid them. Their prices are quite a bit higher than most independent dealers and they use very pushy when trying to sell a car.
Their customer service is awful and have been criticised by the OFT
