Re: How much can you deadlift? POLL
I reckon 220 cleanly...more hitched, maybe more on a regular bar. I've been doing trap bar recently(no high handles or anything), but it has no flex in the bar. In about 2 months I will do 225kg but for not a true max because I don't want to injure myself, but to get a 3x bw deadlift.
Then I will stop caring about deadlift so much and focus loads more on squats and powercleans. -
Re: How much can you deadlift? POLLMost people will generally pull more on a trap bar than they would on a regulat barbell (assuming even height, and flex)(Original post by McHumpy92)

Re: How much can you deadlift? POLLMost do because trap bars often have high handles and that is the only reason. A trap bar has no flex in it and you can't really hitch with it...the only thing that is better is obviously grip, but that isn't a problem for me.(Original post by SpringSettees)

Re: How much can you deadlift? POLL
I do prefer trap bars as a lift because you get more leg and hip drive which is better for sport performance....I then perform SLDL to strengthen hamstrings and try and keep away from pulling with my back.
Trap bar might be easier though for some if they're more stocky, I have long levers so I doubt it is with me.
. 140 will be happening quick once rehab is done. That'll be over 2x body weight so I think it's acceptable
