If you're on a gap year do you still count as a student?
Please put down the pen and step away from the text book. Studying is on hold - here you can chat about your gap year plans and any questions you have.

Re: If you're on a gap year do you still count as a student?
In a way, yes, but, presuming this is after A-Levels, you'd be a student without a University card, who's never done an essay, never spent a weekend in the library with only KX for company, never gone to a lecture, never lived in halls, and has never actually been at a university for a period longer than the open days.
In effect, either you're a student who doesn't study, or something else . -

Re: If you're on a gap year do you still count as a student? Was curious as [hopefully] i'll have the uni place still and i'd quite like the discount on STA for being a student but maybe not(Original post by RobertWhite)
No I don't believe you do. Why would you be counted as a student when you're currently not studying for anything?
Thankyou though every one
