Sunshine

Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Anyone seen it? What are your opinions in it?

The end scene is one of my favourites of all time

I enjoyed it a lot but gotta say the first two-thirds was better than the last act. It could've been better but still highly recommended.

It's an underrated film IMO. I like it. Also, it has one of the best scores ever made.

I actually like the last third; I think it's an excellent film all round, one of Boyle's best.

I avoided it for a long time. But when I did start watching it, I was so INTO it. Loved every minute of it.

Fantastic film. I wasn't a fan of how slasher it turned in the final part but that's my only complaint, the rest of it was beautiful.

    All real people like it.

The only thing that bugs me is that it's meant to be in 2050 or something, and whilst (at best) we might have people on Mars c. 2030, re-igniting a dying star? >_>

You'd have thought that after more than a century of people writing science fiction they'd be slightly more realistic with their 'predictions'.

I guess it's not as bad as watching something like Blade Runner (we've only got 7 years left to establish off world colonies and create sentient robots, near indistinguishable from humans) or 2001 (....).

    It's ok.

But the movie title is just effing horrible!

'Sunshine'? It's like a movie that's asking you to go for a jog outside.
