Ok, firstly hey to all I just gotta say this, I've just got my grades back from my college which confirm I'm going to Bournemouth in September 2012 this year. Or so I will be once ucas gets my grades. Anyways I'm too excited, it's my first time going to uni so I wanna make some freinds before I go, I also wanna know some of the people I could be studying alongside. Once I get there,

I'm starting this thread for people who also wanna know who they could be studying with, maybe if your confident we could share our grades , talk bout accomodation and if there is any experienced people from this animation arts course please help answer some questions that i and others may have such as,

What is uni like on the first day? What do you do in your first lesson? What books do you recommend me buying before I come to BU? Does Bournemouth get a lot o international students on the course? Ect. I have a lot of questions actually so if you are experienced please pm me and I will give you my Skype, only pm me if u can help.

Yea I put Lyme as my 1st...they sent me an email but I have to wait for confirmation from the people who run it and then send them my acceptance. I want to know what flat number I'll be in ^_^

Sweet it's nice to see some people replying to this thread, I want to stay anywhere where I can get an on suite and i can cycle to uni so, either chesil or Lyme is where I'm hoping to stay, I'm waiting for my ucas to go unconditional as well, I wish my college would hurry up and send off the grades.

Yes that counts as similar its nice to meet you, I made this thread so that not only I but others can meet people with similar interest on similar courses and become freinds. For some this may be their first time at uni so something like this is a good way to meet people online, meet up with them at freshers week/ or in the same student housing and then jam with them at uni feel free to chat so more, u never know who u may meet. <3

Cool, it's already July though... :s how comes you haven't got your grades yet? What course are you on right now? Are u hoping to do animation arts THIS year? I needed the grades DDM for the course and grades DDD for a scholarship, I managed to get the grades DD*D* when u get your grades I hope u won't mind sharing with us as to anyone else who reads this message.

Did you get DD*D* in IT diploma? Because I thought that was only available for next year's lot.

No no, I got that grade after completing the btec interactive media extended diploma course .( i probably got some part of that name wrong but u get the gist), I went to oaklands college.

doing A levels results dont come out until 16th of August such a long wait your grades are amazing well done ... i hope they will take pity on me and let me in, i think i will be one grade off but it is in English so it's not really related ...

Don't worry Katie I'm sure they'll let you in, all they ask is that u meet there conditions. it sucks that ur grades coming to you so late though, are u applying for accomodation.

thanks I'm hoping for the best in my conditional letter they put the A for Graphics in bold but not the A in English or B in business so hopefully that means that as long as I get the A in graphics they don't care

I can't apply for accomodation until it becomes unconditional so after results but if I get in I'm thinking Dorchester or Lyme what about you?
