Re: The Edexcel AEA (26/06/12 - AM) Revision ThreadMay be it was 5root something i don't remember it, i am just guessing.(Original post by tizza1394)
Darn, I think I had 5root something. -
Re: The Edexcel AEA (26/06/12 - AM) Revision ThreadSmart idea but i was just fed up with my mess since i had several times made transcription errors and it was at the bottom of the page so i had to turn over to continue so i just though **** it :P.(Original post by raheem94)
I am also disappointed for failing to do question 3 in the exam, i have posted the solution to it in the previous page, i got the answer in moments when i tried it after the exam.
In the (a+b)^4 i also got it very messy but then i expanded (a+b)^4 to show that it matches with the one obtained by integration. And then proceeded with (a+b)^4.
Well im glad people seem to have found 3 hard in the exam. Personally i thought 3, the logs question, the end of question 7 were the tough parts of the exam. -
Re: The Edexcel AEA (26/06/12 - AM) Revision ThreadThe last question and the logs question were tough. Though i should have scored full in Q3 had i realized it in the exam, but my thinking skills are quite bad in exam conditions...(Original post by In One Ear)

y=cos(sinx) or y=sin(cosx) ? -
Re: The Edexcel AEA (26/06/12 - AM) Revision ThreadWell i think most people suffer from exam stress tbh(Original post by raheem94)

Re: The Edexcel AEA (26/06/12 - AM) Revision ThreadI feel it was one of the easier questions, though may be it was because my strength lies in integration.(Original post by Calculator fx)
i would love to see a mark scheme, especially for the (a+b)^4 expansion one, i was too demoralised to continue on with the integration loooooool -

Can someone post a sketch of sin(cosx)?

Re: The Edexcel AEA (26/06/12 - AM) Revision ThreadWell you only tend to feel pressure if (1) you really really need to score well on a test or (2) the difficulty of the exam is outside your comfort zone.(Original post by Calculator fx)
this was the first round of exams i suffered from bad exam mistakes/pressure, in AS it was fine though, no real pressure
The AEA is meant to be a challenging paper based on core maths techniques- a lot of people who don't find the regular a-level exams pressuring probably do find the AEA pressurising. -
Re: The Edexcel AEA (26/06/12 - AM) Revision ThreadDid you got the same graph?(Original post by tizza1394)
get in :d -
Re: The Edexcel AEA (26/06/12 - AM) Revision ThreadThe 2 papers i practiced, i didn't found them much challenging. I did the 2005 paper in which i got around 85-90 while in the 2010 paper i got around 75 but in this paper i failed to show my potential!(Original post by In One Ear)

Re: The Edexcel AEA (26/06/12 - AM) Revision ThreadI did indeed(Original post by raheem94)
Did you got the same graph?
. Minimum at (pi, -sin1)?

Re: The Edexcel AEA (26/06/12 - AM) Revision ThreadWell it seems there isn't anyone really who is expecting a very high score for this paper on here as of yet. Someone mentioned about 80 before S marks but that was the highest. Maybe the boundaries won't be that high then.(Original post by raheem94)

I agree though its frustrating when you know you could and should have done better.
