    A level geography
I was thinking to pick geography for an AS, do you need to do coursework?

In first year (AS), no. As for A2, I don't think so, but I'm not quite sure

EDIT: this is for Edexcel though

I have just finished Edexcel A-level Geography and there are 2 exams in AS and 2 exams in A2, with no coursework at all.

I did unit 4 in January and unit 3 this summer. Most schools do unit 4 in January because it's much shorter than unit 3, and it can be taught in the first term along with about a third of unit 3. Unit 4 is mostly independent research so not much actually needs to be taught.
