And it would be cheating to just base your guide by using other people's IMO.

    Why?
Why have you answered every other question except this one? Know thyself, yo.

I am looking forward to write a revision guide book, am not a geek nor scientist, just finished college exams yesterday. The main thing that is driving me into this journey is that I have learned a lot in the world of science and maths and being a tutor at the same time to both a levels and gcse, i feel i have a lot to offer to the future science generation to help them succeed in their exams and uni.
I have not written a book before but I can analyse how other authors designed theirs and develop mine differently.
If you could tip me the process of starting to publishing, I would be very grateful.
By all means, organise your notes etc. into a more coherent fashion to improve the tuition you give, but you simply do not have the knowledge or experience to think and write clearly enough to produce a revision guide. There is a reason people who write these books tend to be teachers or lecturers with years of experience.

No publisher would touch you. Look at the people who write generic GCSE and A level guides, and then the more bespoke study guides for the likes of Palgrave. Now compare their experience with yours. Belief in yourself is completely irrelevant to this proposition.

that is your suggestion, i have different techniques to carry out writing revision guide, i can write a revision guide way better than available rev books, so bro you can't absolutely judge some one on the merits of education level, i have enormous experience in the field you aren't aware of. so thanx for your kind comment regarding how to publish that might be the issue but that wouldn't be any barrier.

i know the content (the spec) properly
Bearing in mind different exam boards have different specifications. Also there's going to be a big overhaul of exam structure and content over the next few years.

Considering a revision guide is to aid in passing these exams, I'd suggest gathering as much info and experience as you can on the new exam formats and changes in the criteria :holmes:

    You are in denial.

You have just finished college which proves you do not have enough subject knowledge. Your inability to address criticism and the poor quality of your writing in this thread also suggest you are not up to the task of displaying material coherently. Your boast of 'enormous experience' is absurd. You have no experience in writing and publishing revision guides, which is why you are on this website asking for advice in the first place.

I repeat: there is a reason why the people who write revision guides are lecturers and teachers. They have years of experience teaching the material, know how best to present the material, and have experience of dealing with problems student face (i.e. they know which concepts students often have trouble understanding).

I ask my self this question, why are concerned/why are you bothered if my english is poor and i put across my point people understand where will the problem be? bro chill out!! if you want to challenge me lets have a battle, again you don't know what my achievements are, how much experience i have in the field, how many of my students achieved A* from Ds and Es.
I'll say zip your mouth and remain where you are with your negativities.

I just thought. No one is going to touch your guide with a bargepole. Most revision guides are written by those who studied the subject at degree level and more importantly, mark and even write exams. You're just a college student - if I were revising for exams I would definitely buy one from the exam board or has been recommended by a teacher. I'm just being realistic. Your guide will not get anywhere without any credentials.

I am trying to save you time and effort and, to a lesser extent, explain the rejection you will ultimately get if you ever send this to a publisher. They will not even bother replying to you if you display the same level of English you have in this thread, that is why I mentioned it.

Tutoring students is not the same as writing and publishing a revision guide. Your experience is completely irrelevant.

As a comparison, I have just checked the blurb for the CGP A2 English language revision guide. The woman who wrote that has an undergraduate degree and two postgraduate degrees, 15 years experience as a teacher, and experience as a school inspector and educational consultant. And that was before she became a writer in her own right. She now has eight years experience of writing.

And you - someone who has not even passed his A levels yet - think you know better...

Very much appreciated for your invaluable advice,
Go ahead and waste your time writing a revision guide then if you're not going to listen to a thing anyone says then. I'm not sure why others and I still endeavour to give advice and help pricks like you.
