Get to choose gender of examiner for prac test?
Hi! i was wondering for those that have done their practical test for driving, if they had the opportunity to choose the gender of their examiner or not?

No. Who you get is completely at random.

So that there is virtually no chance of an examiner choosing who they will test the DSA computer selects the examiner randomly where there is more than one

Not only is the choice random, but at some centres there are only male examiners resident (full-time), so unless there is a visiting female from another centre when you take your test there on any given day, there even computer randomization doesn't offer an alternative.

The test has to be completely impartial so you are not allowed to pick and choose. If the reason for your concern is a religious one, then you may take a chaperone along with you on test. This doesn't have to be your instructor, it can be a parent or spouse.
