And no real reason, just because I always have.
Actually it's because I was the second born cousin on one side and the first born on the other.
My older cousin called our common Grandmother "Gran" so I just copied that, and the other was "Nan" for distinction. -

Re: What do you call your Grandmother?My paternal grandmother is Nanny, my maternal grandmother is Mama - when I was little, I called her Yaya which is the Greek word for grandma, but then I learned to copy what my mum called her without knowing what it meant...it's a bit late to change now though!
