That link doesn't work for me???
It was a petition to the TSR model house of commons hoping another party would press for a UN investigation into human rights abuses in Sri Lanka during the civil war, as ours has not yet formed. It's been removed because for 'advertising' so I've asked about this on askamod so see if maybe it was a misunderstanding.

    London F1 street race proposal

Darren Johnson, Green Party member of London Assembly said the F1 proposal was a "terrible idea".

"[It] sends out all the wrong messages about how our streets are used. We should be promoting safer streets by reducing our speeds and encouraging walking and cycling, not championing a high speed race such as this."
I disagree with him I think this is a good idea.

I respect your view regarding policies but surely you can provide a rough direction you hope to take in broad areas such as education, health and the like...?

Yes I do personally, but we as a party wish to discuss this before we state it publicly. Not too much to ask.

But why, then, should you be allowed to form when it is possible you add nothing by way of diversity? I have no issue with the formation of the party, in fact I support it, I just think that those who propose it should have some sort of vision otherwise Metro and the rest of us honestly have no idea what is being formed as you are not accountable to any promises. Whatever though

We just want a thread to discuss our polices on everything, especially green issues. We do have new contributions.

You can't have a thread in here where just Green party members can post, it's not possible on TSR. You can communicate via PM and perhaps give people specific areas to create policies for. That will help to give you some policies. Not having a thread is not an excuse for not having policies. As paddy says, if you don't have a vision, then why should the party be allowed to form? So what policies can you tell us about?

I would talk to the members and draft together some basic policies if you want to be accepted by the mods.

Nothing that fancy just a direction you would like to take with the party

My advice is to have your members contact each other via msn ect.. and form policies that way as you can't really get a sub-forum until then, afterall you may just propose a load of policies which Labour or the Socialists already have.

All of you talk as if I haven't tried that. Do you know how long it takes to pm people with a 30 second wait each time and how long it takes to conform varying ideas between 15 PEOPLE?
I admire your attempts to help, but seriously it is really difficult and time consuming, besides people want privacy so aren't on msn, I hope you respect their wishes.

You can PM more than one person at once...

We finally have 15 members now and according to the old rules, we would have a party by now, however they were changed, we now wait evermore.

Fear not though, I have contacted the admins to help speed up the process and reduce this VERY long wait.

I know, but between 15 people with 15 different ideas... You know this is impractical, on so many levels.

Now is probably the best time to form a party - half way through the term it will give you experience of the house and will allow you to write a good manifesto for the election in October time

I've reviewed your members list and a large number of them haven't even posted in this thread. If hypothetically I was to approve this, it would still need to be discussed by admin and they would need to make a decision on whether or not approve it. If hypothetically they did approve it, it would still take a few days to setup a sub-forum, so this isn't going to happen overnight under any circumstance. I'm afraid you'll have to wait a little while longer.

Just to note though that OP said that people could PM him though I agree that they should post here to confirm that they are interested in joining.
