    Re: HELP
The colleges act as administrative centres for students - splitting the student population up. They provide accommodation, social areas and opportunities to get involved in sport/politics/media at a college level [supporting the university level things].

Campus is quite compact, when you focus on the main spine area. You are looking at up to 20 minutes to go from top to tail [maybe a little more if you walk slowly/go down the spine when it is very busy etc]. No where is that far away from anywhere, but some colleges are more centrally located than others.

On south-west campus, probably the furthest from most things [as no teaching takes place down there], you have Graduate, Cartmel, Lonsdale and Pendle [ensuite]. Then, on main campus, from south to north: Pendle [standard], Grizedale, Fylde, Furness, [[Alex Sq - the "centre" of campus with the library etc]], Bowland and County.

Biology, I think, is just opposite Furness College. But, as others have said, lectures are not always held in department and sometimes seminars are held elsewhere too. If you opt for Fylde-Bowland, you should be within a couple of minutes walk of most things.
