The greatest movie scene
Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Re: The greatest movie scene
For me probably any of the following:-
. Gandalf v the Balrog in Lord of the Rings 1 (or if you want to extend it the whole scene where they're chased by Goblins and then the balrog attacks)
. The charge of the Rohirrim in Lord of the Rings 3 - always a great scene
. Anakin v Obi-wan battle in Revenge of the Sith (and then the bit after where we see Darth Vader being raised up on the medical thing - "Nooooooo!!!!" - I like that one too
- Ooh, and the bit where all the jedi are wiped out too...)
. Opening battle of Gladiator - not a great film overall, but some scenes are really good.
Can't think of many more off the top of my head, but of the films I've seen those are probably some of the better scenes
Lol...looking at that list I must admit I seem a bit of a geek.
EDIT: Oh yes and pretty much anything with the Joker in in The Dark Knight!

Re: The greatest movie sceneexcellent choice, it's my favourite movie....(Original post by jardantuan)
Such a good film. It amazes me how few people seem to have seen it though
