Louis Theroux explains everything like usual.

    Beethoven - Black
    Cleopatra - White
    Henry 8th - Black
    Shakespeare - Black
Abraham Lincoln - Still being debated.

    A very bizarre website.

    http://www.100greatblackbritons.com/list.html

The website claims to show 100 of the greatest historical ''Black Britons'' [sic], yet very oddly very few are/were ''Black''. For example -

    http://www.100greatblackbritons.com/..._phillipa.html

The website claims Queen Phillipa was ''England's first black queen''.

Yet here is Queen Phillipa (which the website even includes a pic of) -

How the heck is this ''Black''?

The website then makes even more bizarre claims, asserting Septimus Severus, Queen Charlotte etcetc were ''Black'' as well.
I'm not familiar with who Queen Phillipa was, but I'm guessing that she was either a light skinned black person and/or mixed race. They also have Sade and Shirley Bassey on that list who both fit that description. Whether you consider mixed race people as black or not though is up to you.

It's not much of a shock that they're going to need to scrape the barrel to find 100 "great" members of a group that currently makes up 2% of the population and 75 years ago made up ~0%.

It's like trying to make a list of 100 greatest Britons who drove a Fiat.
    Good point :yy:

Interestingly, the reason there is debate about stuff like what colour Jesus or Cleopatra or whoever were is because BACK THEN PEOPLE DIDN'T CARE, and nor should we.

Yes, but I just thought I'd say that most black people aren't that crazy...

You get all kinds of conspiracy theorists. Some claim that Bush orchestrated the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Some claim that Mary Magdalene bore Jesus' children and unfortunately some claim that George V was black.

They're all crazy, and should just be ignored.

Given that black people did not make any trips to Britain in around the 17th century...I think it's unlikely she was black, Cherry.

I didn't know that tbh, but thanks for the tip. Why would they include her in that list then? :curious:

I've always thought Tom Jones was black or at the very least least mixed race .

I am very familiar with Afrocentrism and other fringe ''isms''. However the website 100 Great Black Britons is mainstream and is recommended by teachers, universities etc. It is therefore very alarming how this sort of pseudo-history is taking over. Of course the average mug won't question anything, which is why we need a movement to counter all these lies.

It wouldn't be much of a picture against the black background if Queen Phillipa was black... You'd have a black canvas then...

Is this what you do with your time? Trawl the internet for sites about black people so that you can post it on TSR? good lord, people have too much time on their hands
What people do with their time should not concern you as long as it has nothing to do with you/no impact on you.

Any list of 'great' people is instantly invalidated with the inclusion of Ms. Dynamite.

I guess you're right, defender of the white movement. I mean, all those black folk might take over with their lies & misleading websites if we don't do something.

And btw Britain does a lot of this culture "stealing" you go on about. Apparently curry is now British! Who'd have thought!

It's called sarcasm. Maybe you should look it up in a dictionary some time.

So, curry originated in, and is native to this country did it? It's a typical example of some racist mentalities in this country. We don't like the people but we'll have their food!
