Re: Are girls who wear one piece bathing suits perceived as boring?Pardon? I was responding to someone's question about whether Marilyn Monroe's bathing suit was 'boring'. Obviously, because of the era that she was alive in, societal norms differed. Hence, she wasn't being boring, but merely keeping with the time period.(Original post by babygirl110)
No, you grow up and stop responding to threads if you don't have a valuable contribution to make.
There's nothig wrong with me gathering people's views on current fashion trends, I also prefer to keep with the times. If you don't have an interest in the topic, PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND!! Are you bored or something? People like you are so annoying.
I don't understand how you have misconstrued what I have said. I didn't even respond to you, for goodness sake. For what it's worth, I actually gave my opinion on the first page, but you obviously saw fit to ignore it. Says a lot about you. -
Re: Are girls who wear one piece bathing suits perceived as boring?A bit of both I'm afraid. I feel uncomfortable wearing things I know he doesn't like - to the extent that I've thrown tops away because he didn't like them very much. I know it's spineless of me but I lack confidence in pretty much every department.(Original post by Lizia)
I take it you refer to the lack of confidence to tell 'the OH' where to stick his preferences? You surely couldn't be so lacking in confidence that you'll let someone else dictate what you wear, to the point of making yourself uncomfortable all summer? That should be your concern more than body confidence. -

How about you grow a pair and wear what you want?

Re: Are girls who wear one piece bathing suits perceived as boring?ok, I'll give you my opinion. Bikinis are sexier. Girls who wear one piece bathing suits come across to me as conservative, though not boring per se.(Original post by babygirl110)

Re: Are girls who wear one piece bathing suits perceived as boring?
I think they both look good!
I do prefer bikinis when it's really warm though, in that sort of whether a swimsuit just sticks to you with the heat.
Though I personally find it easier to find swimsuits than bikinis!
Wear whatever's comfortable.

Re: Are girls who wear one piece bathing suits perceived as boring?I honestly laughed out loud at this. Thanks.(Original post by Tullia)
Given the thread title, I would suggest that if they grew a pair, they should wear Speedos to offer optimal bulge. Nothing boring about that.

Re: Are girls who wear one piece bathing suits perceived as boring?
I prefer one pieces as well. But then I know my figure looks godawful in bikini's, I'd rather not inflict that on humanity. But also, when I go to the beach or swimming, I want to swim, and it's just better to wear a one piece in that scenario. I used to have some great ones though, they were pretty gorgeous actually, people used to compliment them so they couldn't have been that boring. My current one is boring but then I don't intend to swim until I'm a bit fitter and don't look so awful in one.

Re: Are girls who wear one piece bathing suits perceived as boring?
I wear a one piece for exercise swimming and a bikini for messing around/beaching. Prefer the one piece tbh (and it's a bit tricky trying to push off a swimming pool wall if your bikini bottoms want to escape every time you do it...)

Re: Are girls who wear one piece bathing suits perceived as boring? All three of them swimsuits are nice, I would personally go for the bottom one, I like the other two but wouldn't be inclinded to go out and buy one of them unless I really liked it(Original post by CherryCherryBoomBoom)
Some one pieces are quite boring. However, some can be pretty hot - I don't see how you could call styles these boring

I like any of those 3 swimsuits and yes, look very sexy!! I have always being a bikini girl myself, but a sexy swimsuit I would defo wear yep.
Haha 2 piece can also = boring at times, trust me haha especially those who think there hot and there so not
i hate number 3, the black and purple are sexyLast edited by TEX1; 26-06-2012 at 13:22. -
Re: Are girls who wear one piece bathing suits perceived as boring?haha how good it is to see someone who has experienced what i have-EXACTLY! LOLOLOL(Original post by lukas1051)
I think one pieces are very unflattering, they remind me of when my grandma used to take me swimming and the place was full of old fat people, all the flab and wrinkles and saggy skin trying to burst out the sides of those suits... *shudder*
If you want a male opinion (well, my opinion anyway
): bikinis look much better.
Although i like the one pieces that babes are wearing these days too!Last edited by TEX1; 26-06-2012 at 13:30. -
Re: Are girls who wear one piece bathing suits perceived as boring?
i usually wear bikinis but i bought a one piece recently because it was more comfortable when swimming for fitness... and omg i love it!!! i always thought they would make you look frumpy or boobs saggy or something because it would flatten them and push them down but i got a really nice one and it looks just as good if not better than my bikinis and also i had to buy one recently for a place i went on holiday, it was quite a conservative place so no bikinis allowed, and i really liked that too! i think i will still stick to bikinis but i have also been converted to one pieces!! i also like how i'm not showing almost everything off... when i went on holiday to this place renowned for perverts i felt really exposed in my bikinis...
if you get a nice one they can look better than a bikni... but i still think bikinis in general look better and i won't be changing.Last edited by Bellissima; 26-06-2012 at 17:38. -
Re: Are girls who wear one piece bathing suits perceived as boring?
I think one pieces are classy...
long ago were the days of shapeless speedo costumes for school swimming lessons..cringe!
now you can get some rather lovely one pieces which are very flattering..
plus iit leaves a lot more to the imagination rather than being an open market stall..
i dont hate bikinis mind you...
at the end of the day its about body confidence..
