    Biological Sciences at Surrey?
Can anyone tell me what the course for Biological Sciences is like at Surrey, ie. how are the lectures, exams and flexibility of modules?
    Thanks!

The first year is common across this and the other four bioscience programmes. In the second and final years of study you will have the flexibility of choosing your own modules to provide a more “bespoke” programme. You will also have the opportunity to follow one of a number of specialisms including cancer biology, cardiovascular disease, systems biology, psychology, an international language, management, molecular and cellular biology or ethics. This will allow you to graduate with your chosen specialism named as part of your degree title, e.g. BSc Biological Sciences (Cancer Biology).

Don't study it myself - best come down to an Open Day and speak to the staff and students then directly. First ones are next Friday and Saturday

    I'm booked for next Friday
Are you invited for an interview and if so, is it important in the selection process?

Generally if you get an interview, you can pretty much assume that you've got the offer, as long as nothing goes horrendously wrong in the interview .

They'll invite you for an applicant day in November - March time provided your UCAS application is strong enough (grade-wise usually, i.e. you're on or around ABB) and they'll "interview" you as part of that day, but its not like a job interview or oxbridge style interview; a tutor will just sit you down in their office and go through your PS, asking the standard by Biology, why Surrey, what do you enjoy most at A Level, do you do any sports or have any hobbies, any career aspirations. More of an informal chat really..
