Well it's my favourite unit
so hopefully it'll be nice questions! I've revised and everything so Im hoping il be okay, just re-reading my notes and things...
I think something about how to make industries sustainable is likely to come up. -

Re: AQA GCSE Geography B Globalisation 25th JuneIndicators for development, for example GNI is a purely economic indicator as it only takes into account money however HDI for example is social and economic combined as it takes into account, factors of both such as GNI and life expectancy..if that helped(Original post by swaine.)

What did people put for the question along the lines of "How does tourism help local peoples in a developing area?". It was the 8 marker. What sort of things did people put, what example did they use? -

For that one I used a developed country and a less developed country, so Nepal and Spain. It was asking about how it helped people and the country, so I talked about Jobs and stuff (Multiplier Effect etc) and how it stabilises the government, foreign investment, wealth can be spent on improving infrastructure and also how it raises awareness about the environment (word heritage sites, etc). I can't remember everything but I don't think I did the answer as well as I know have!! Was it me or was there so many 4 mark questions?! And so many sources! I messed up the technology source question !(Original post by supergrantholt)

Re: AQA GCSE Geography B Globalisation 25th JuneAnyone do Globalisation? I had Tourism and Urbanisation, I think I did good as I can do. If going by the mock is anything I hopefully got a B overall, Sadely on the last page of tourism that was not a world map question
. Seriously they are my saver, cause you can get 6 marks from thoses lol. Basically I know where every country in the world is, not so good on Africa though. 
Cause it has far too many and the names are harder to rember.
What does everyone find easiest in Geography, for me Human Geography and the world map. -

I talked about employment, the multiplier effect, increased infrastructure (like ports which in turn would bring in trade) etc. However, I mainly talked about economical effects (except from I mentioned improved government services such as hospitals and healthcare.(Original post by SophieLisa96)

I thought I'd answered it pretty well (maybe 6 marks out of 8). However, I spoke to several friends afterwards and they said they talked about Lapa Rios and the sustainability of it??? I hope the mark scheme won't restrict answers to just how the sustainability of tourism can help the area and locals (ie. protected environment, locally sourced materials and guaranteed work etc.) -
