    Wessex Lane or Glen Eyre?
    Hello all,

I know these kinds of threads must have been done to death, but I'm still pretty indecisive.

I want a social hall, and I'm probably going to be applying for an enhanced room, as I've heard en-suite isn't worth it, and standard leaves you sharing a toilet with a rediculous number of people.

I'm quite sporty, and I'd love to do inter-mural sport. I'm also pretty keen on the gym, and squash, so if these factors could be taken into account, I'd be very grateful.

Transport isn't too much of an issue, I don't mind walking, and I'm hopefully getting a decent bike to make life a bit easier.

Can't wait to start, just not sure where I want to be living really, any suggestions between Wessex Lane and Glen Eyre?

    Regards

WL is said to be more social then GE but it's not as if GE isn't social.
GE having lots of green is really nice in summer. Unfortunately the sun was out during our exams this year and went away straight after they finished -_-
GE has a squash court, both gyms suck for anyone remotely serious (ie free weights).
GE is a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for from what I hear. I doubt either is better value than the other.
If you're sporty then you may be going to Wide Lane a lot, it's a lot easier to get to from WL.

There are 2 proper ones: one on campus and one near the airport. Both are well equipped, the campus one more so but less people use the one near the airport.
