What shall I read next?
If it can be read, it can be discussed here.

Re: What shall I read next? You might as well have gone on to a thread about religion and said "honestly, I don't get why people believe in God, like you can't even see him."(Original post by Skeppy)
Why read when you have tv. I cant understand why people read for fun.

I think that you should read between the lines when a girl shoots you a nasty look when you offer to buy her a drink. -
Re: What shall I read next?
George Orwell's 1984.
See how far you can get without getting totally bored out of your brain.
And to anyone who disagrees, I know it's a classic and I know many people enjoyed reading it, but sadly I didn't like it, and honestly I really wanted to enjoy it, but I just couldn't. -

Re: What shall I read next?I spent the first half bored out of my brain but was enthralled by the second half, guess people have different tastes!(Original post by Aaaaaaaargh!)

I'd recommend Margaret Atwood's "The Handmaid's Tale" - Really enjoyed reading it! -
Re: What shall I read next? Please tell me you're joking; that book is awful. It's brilliant if you want to laugh yourself sick, though. Honestly, some of the quotes... If you do read it, count how many times the writer references an "inner goddess". I guarantee you'll run out of fingers.(Original post by lilyxx)
50 shades of grey
On a slightly more serious note, Anna Karenina's good. And The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. The writing in that one is beautiful.
A Song of Ice and Fire. I've only read A Game of Thrones, but loved it.
Temeraire - Naomi Novik
You know what, I could go on for ages but I have an essay to finish right now. Whoops. -
Re: What shall I read next?Lol it could mean 'tie me up, whip me raw and then use and abuse me, or i'll do these deviant things to you' or it could simply mean 'get out of my face you prick'.(Original post by Newbie123)
But a "nasty look" might be a good sign? Kinky... -
