English - Lang/Lit, Language and Literature
So in Year 10 I finished my English GCSE courses. I came out with nice grades and thus was submitted for an English Lang/Lit Combo Course at AS Level in Year 11 (now(finished now, I guess *yay*)

I'm looking into doing Medicine, and I read lots of them like an essay-based subject at AS. My AS Coursework grade was a high B and I'm hoping for an A on the test (no A*s for the paper) - giving me an overall high B/low A.

What I wanted to know is:

    a) will this meet the demand of a 'essay-based AS'?
    b) where Lang/Lit stands compared to just a Language or Literature AS?

    Thanks
