Im hoping to go to Brookes in Sept 2013. I live near Aylesbury and am looking into using the bus from home to Oxford to save money.
I'm not entirely sure how this would work out and have been trying to contact other students who have done or are doing something similar.

Coming from that distance? You are just going to need to be ready to spend over an hr travelling by bus into class everyday. bare in mind you cud have class every day for just 2hrs tops.

I'll be commuting in from North Oxford (village outside Bicester) probably 2-3 days a week or so... it's about 25 minutes by car.

Doing an MA History - am a mature (allegedly) student, and unlike the previous poster practically dead at 42....

Ah cool! I was sure I'd be the furthest one out!

    I'm doing Film Studies.

Are you going to any of the Fresher's events?
I know. I think I might stay woth family in Oxford on some days so its not so far to travel.

I haven't looked at the Fresher's events yet, but i'll go to some if I can mustr up the courage to arrive alone haha. Are you?

I'm a second year and commute from Banbury every day (although this year I drop down to three days a week!) and it hasn't stopped me from going out or making new friends...in fact most people are jealous because I can come home and get on with work rather then listen to music really loudly or my house mates running round like loonies all evening!

Hello guys! I will start my postgraduate studies this September but i had some issues filling the online enroll! On the financial enrollment (fees payment) i have to write up the modules credits in session 1 and 2! I try many combinations such 60 credits in session 1 and 120 in 2 but appears an error! Does anyone of us know about?

Did you also commute during your first year? What do you do between classes? My worry is that everyone else can just go back to their rooms while I have to stick around on campus somewhere.

Yeah I did. I live with my boyfriend so I didn't really see the need to move to Oxford when all my friends are here as they have recently graduated from Uni.

The course that I'm studying means I'm in 9-4:30/5 every day so I don't have breaks during the day to go home in.

If you did have breaks, you could always go back to halls with your friends or use it to study in between? There are options there for you- I definitely wouldn't worry about it.
