So exams are over...what to do now...
So personally, I had my last exam this morning, finishing at 10am. I came home, tidied all my books and notes away and have found myself sitting at my desk.
Now I feel like I should be revising something, or looking over a textbook or even looking at TSR to see if everyone's ready/prepared for a particular exam...
So it has only just set in...that I have legally finished school, I have no more exams and I have the summer ahead of me before moving away to a different school..and I don't know what to do with all this spare time!
Does anyone else feel like this? Offer any advice on what you're planning to do for the summer? -

Re: So exams are over...what to do now...
I feel exactly the same, so I have started reading for pleasure over necessity (I took English Lit A level). Also when I am at uni in September (Hopefully!!) I really want a job since I love having a job, so I am now doing three hours a week at a charity shop, I think now is the time for CV's to be honest, and obviously to see friends, get drunk, and forget about results day until the 15th of August!

Re: So exams are over...what to do now...
I have 98 days before I start uni (I start on oct 1st). What I usually do is between June and July do no work, go out, play my xbox and watch entire seasons of quality tv, scrubs, Bruce parry etc. Then august maybe do a bit of light reading to prepare (pre-season training) but mostly xbox shall occur.

Re: So exams are over...what to do now...
JOB APPLICATIONS! then, worry about getting into med, got for a walk, worry about the UKCAT, go food shopping, cook, eat late lunch while watching season 7 of supernatural, worry about med school some more while washing dishes, go and do my volunteer shift at celia hammonds, go on tsr, go out to dinner with freinds and possibly a movie, sleep.
Pretty boring day! -
Re: So exams are over...what to do now...
I feel the same way. Exactly the same.
I've become a bit of an OAP, to be quite honest. I wake up early so I don't "waste the day" but then I have nothing to do anyway. I've taken to driving to a random nature reserve and just walking for a few hours. I'm going to a new one today with the boyfriend and a picnic and I'm far more excited than I should be about it :/
It's just frustrating because next week I go to Amsterdam and then France, so I'm buzzing for that - but in the mean time I've nothing to do and no money to do anything with anyway as I've changed it all into euros. I also keep on waking up like, "Ooh, got to revise now!" and then remember I don't. I like not revising, don't get me wrong, but I feel a little useless if in not doing anything productive.
I'm sure it'll get better soon, though - after my holiday I'll have to knuckle down with UKCAT prep and re-writing my PS. -
Re: So exams are over...what to do now...I'm planning on becoming self employed in design or something, because I've applied for loads of jobs with no response! :P(Original post by 24hoursmiles)

Re: So exams are over...what to do now...
I think a lot of us are feeling this way..
I'm quite content in doing nothing for a few days, my exams finished on Friday but I'm still utterly exhausted. I plan to get fit over the summer and I'm going to apply for jobs. I'm not even sure if I'm going to University as I didn't get any offers and I'm applying through extra..
I may do some work around the house, we need to do some wallpapering etc. Not that I'm in any hurry to start that lol. I'm really not sure how I'l be sending my free time at the moment. -
Re: So exams are over...what to do now...Haha I know! I get up relatively early, in the hope of doing something productive...yet don't!(Original post by Lunch_Box)
Same! I feel like I'm throwing my life away because I'm not doing anything productive atm! -
Re: So exams are over...what to do now...If you're just going to start your A-levels then what I'm doing is getting some books that unis recommend on the career that you may follow.(Original post by 24hoursmiles)

Re: So exams are over...what to do now...
I finished 2 weeks ago, and already even got my results last week, passed everything, I'm already bored to death!
I make a point of doing something particular each day, a small task, maybe just something to get out of the house, at leas something to say I've done SOMETHING productive that day
unemployed ¬_¬ -
Re: So exams are over...what to do now...
I know what you mean...I had my last A Level exam on Friday and I have absolutely nothing to do. I've constantly got that feeling of "you should be revising" in the back of my head despite the fact that I no longer have anything to do. Oh well, getting a puppy on the 6th July; I'm sure she'll keep me busy!
