Apostrophes
I just received my June "TSR Times" newsletter in an email and the apostrophes which were wrongly used hurt my head e.g. "congrat's" and "GCSE's" indicating possession, like the GCSE is owning something :/
I don't know where else to put this on the forums, it's only a little thing but it's sent to a lot of people and they will consciously or subconsciously pick up on that and start using it as well and there is enough bad grammar in the world anyway, so please read them through, or look on here for how to use them properly:

I don't mean this offensively or in a patronising way, it's just good that as an editor you can use apostrophes properly..
Thanks xD -
Re: ApostrophesI'm not directly involved in producing the newsletter but I don't think this will be taken offensively at all - any and all constructive feedback is always welcome, so thank you! Sometimes it's the little things that can make all the difference and I personally share your feelings on this.(Original post by chopsticks)

It's true, the little things do make a difference! Hopefully this will be passed on or seen by the editor of the newsletter, I was unsure where to post, but I'm glad it wasn't taken offensively

Re: ApostrophesYou're right, apostrohpes aren't my strongest point and the errors weren't picked up by my proof reader either(Original post by chopsticks)

Apologies for hurting your head!
You'll be glad to hear we have a professional editor starting with us in July, so no more silly mistakes (one would hope
)

Re: ApostrophesHaha don't worry about it! I'm glad that it's all sorted now, thanks for being lovely about it.. My head hurts from completely self inflicted reasons (alcohol) now, and that is much more painful so don't worry about it xD Hope you're having a great weekend(Original post by CJ)
