so im trying to grow my nails but they take a long time to :/ its so annoying because i eat a varied diet so im not lacking anything and i dont bite my nails either i dont understand why they arent growing past my finger lol

any suggestions please ?

I swear I heard somewhere that hair and nails grow faster in the summer. Perhaps Vitamin D? I know drinking lots of milk is apparently good for them

Try Nail Envy and Avoplex Oil by OPI, I use these treatments and my nails grow like crazy.

boots & other drugstores sell special nail varnishes that strengthen nails so they dont chip away & therefore grow quicker, haven't tried them before but I would consider it an option... they're about £5~£7 though.

I'm sort of in the same position as you by the way. Trying to grow my nails for prom as I can't afford manicures! I feel your pain

also, do you use nail varnishes/nail varnish removers often? the use of these strong solvents weaken your nails as they can't 'breathe' and the chemicals are pretty damaging after a while, so if you use them alot maybe it would be a good idea to use less

tapping your fingers (like typing) is supposed to help stimulate nail growth, as is massaging around cuticles (poor circulation slows nail growth and this helps circulation...).
Always!! use a nail strengthener, i find my nails really weak when there short but get stronger as they get longer, i have just painfully had to cut them down as i broke 4 trying to mend my bed :'( ... i have heard very good things about the opi one but sooo expensive i use a essie one (£8 in boots but tkmaxx have them sometimes just £4! ) but i think any strengthening nail varnish is pretty much the same as another.

oh really! i'll try it lol its so simple i hope it works and oh ouch sounds sore and yeah i looked into opi its like £20 a bottle! :O omg i cant afford to keep buying that :O okay thank you so much i'll defos try that!! xxx

If you lick them then your saliva will solidify and make them longer.

I haven't tried anything else that worked for me but I know a few people that like Seche Vite Rebuild which is about half the price of the OPI I believe.

Take vitamin supplements and use Nail Envy.

I dind just regularly cutting them makes them grow a lot faster, and they strengthen that way too. Also I use Avon's Grow Potion and Gold Strength. I bit my nails for years and recently stopped, and people stop me all the time now telling me how great they look!
