    student income and expenses
    Hello everyone.

I'm planning to apply to Plymouth University, and I have several questions, hope you could help me:

    1. Is it hard to find a part-time job for a student in Plymouth? And how much student can earn per week ( average )?

    2. What is your monthly spendings on food, bills, and general things.

    3. Is it necessary to buy all student books, or you can borrow them from the library?

1: Jobs aren't easy to come by, but you can easily get some money being a rep for Oceana or other night clubs. The SU recruits bar staff and cleaners every year so just ask (that's how I got my job)

2: Depending on how much your rent is, I'd budget about £30 in food, as it's easy to make it yourself. But say £40 because of nights out etc.

3: Library. I bought by whole book list (computing) and it was pointless. Even though I got them 2nd hand, it's still pricey. Book share, as that's probably easier.
