    Postgraduate Accomodation
I was wondering if someone currently in Reading, or about to start (like me!), would be able to recommend accommodation for mature students?

I finished my undergrad a few years ago, so am not really keen on the whole 'halls' experience all over again, but am looking for something that won't break the bank (I can't afford my own place).

I found something called UNITE Crown House, is that any good? The uni accom office thus far hasn't been overly helpful in explaining to me if they have dedicated postgrad halls available.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

(I'll be doing MSc Atmosphere, Ocean and Climate for anyone interested )

EDIT : If anyone can tell me how to correct the spelling in the thread title I'd be grateful. Apparently my double touch typing isn't up to par..

Hey - I've already got an undergrad degree but I'm going back for another this autumn (not in the same subject ). The Head of Accommodation advised me that I could still apply for halls but I should mention that I would like to live with mature students. She said each hall tends to have a 'mature' section anyway - particularly the new Stenton Townhouses as they will have a layout more like houses than corridors of rowdy students.

For me it's the most straightforward option as it's a good way to meet people if you're not from the area, plus all bills are included.

Maybe not the answer you were looking for, but thought I'd chip in just in case

Thanks for that! I wasn't sure if any of the halls owned by the uni were postgrad only, because unfortunately gone are my days of wild parties night after night. Looking for something quieter, but still studenty as I'm not that old!

Do you know what those privately owned halls I mentioned in my initial post are like? (Crown House) As they looked from the website like the kind of thing I was thinking of going for..

Thanks anyways, think I'm going for Kendrick Hall now, as it seems to be much cheaper and nicer than what's offered by the uni.

    Hi,

Im starting at Reading this fall as a grad student and I was wondering how the grad studios/flats are? I think Benyon Hall, Northcourt and St. Patricks have them.

    Thanks!
