    D of E advice
Not sure if this is the right place to post, but anyway...

I'm going on D of E tomorrow, and sorting out food today. I go for 3 days and 2 nights and I've got breakfast and dinner sorted, but I still need to plan what I'll do for lunch throughout the 3 days. Would bringing sandwiches be a good idea? I think I can sort out my bag so that they don't get squashed, but would they go off or anything or just be a bad idea?

    Cheers

If you have sandwiches just put them in a plastic bag and attach that to the top of your other bag, You don't really need them inside your bag?

You can take sandwiches for your first day lunch. Then for the rest you could have more sandwiches or just eat anything really. It isn't a big deal.

    Hi
When I did D of E for my lunch on the first day i brought sandwiches which are fine but for the other two days for lunch i brought a tuna lunch salad thing with pasta in it..you can get them from any big supermarkets and they're really good because they're in a sealed foil tin so they definitely won't go off...sorry if you don't like tuna but I think you can get others..just a suggestion because I didn't want to risk bringing sandwiches for 3 days!

Sandwiches would be fine. Try to avoid meat or anything that will go off if not in a fridge for several days.
I had cheese and marmite for 5 days for my gold DofE and didn't have any problems.

I put sandwiches in cling film. By the time I went to eating them they were a mashy mix of bread, ham, cheese and ketchup. Put them in one of plastic boxes.
