Yeap, that's what drove me to choosing York as well :-)(Original post by mike101)
I'm off to York this year, and out of the CS departments I looked at it was by far the best with a purpose built CS building,All the specifics are on the website.

Do you know of any other universities with dedicated CS buildings?

Re: Which UK Universities have the best computing facilities?
I have found a few decent ones in terms of league tables and courses available and which do not require maths, however I do not know what their facilities are like (this is important as CS students need good computers).
I am 16 in lower sixth at the moment (going into upper sixth September) -
Re: Which UK Universities have the best computing facilities?
As I've mentioned in another thread I don't have A level Maths (just grade C at GCSE). I've originally applied to do History, but in the middle of trying to swap my unconditional to CompSci at Chester. They don't require Maths and it's not very Maths intensive compared to other unis. It's also ranked 52 in the Uni League tables and 41 for CompSci. Not bad going for an
ex-poly(My bad, it was never a Polytechnic. Should say "not bad for a young University").Last edited by Mito; 28-06-2012 at 21:24. -
Re: Which UK Universities have the best computing facilities?Yeah, you really need to see your unis, but you've got plenty of time so don't worry. Don't make the mistake I made last year and go to a uni you knew nothing about, it won't work in your favour.(Original post by mike101)
OP, you need to go visit the courses you have found that don't require maths really.
