What do you buy for the man who has everything?
Its my uncles 65th birthday at the beginning of July and we have been invited to a party for him. We don't know him very well but he has been really generous to us this year, he put up my bf for two weeks before we actually moved here, letting us live in his flat rent free for 3 months. We want to get him something really nice but we don't have lot of money and as I said he is the proverbial 'man who has everything'!

Can't go wrong with a good single malt I find for anyone, unless he isn't a drinker

This is the Tropical Mega Battle Card. It's one of the rarest cards made.

A bin, so he can get rid of a few things, giving you spaces to fill.

    Bacon.

Failing that, a nice home-cooked dinner. But only if it contains bacon.

    Everyone loves bacon.

We have thought we might do him a hamper, with some nice organic bits and some wine. Problem is, we go to this lovely organic shop every Saturday but I can't for the life of me think what to get except chocolate. His wife is a good cook so some nice bits to cook could be good but still not sure what?

Ok, party is Saturday. We have got him some nice organic coffee, some Green & Blacks chocolate, a packet of Marks & Spencer biscuits, a bottle of Chianti and a 'Keep calm it's your birthday' mug. What do you think?

Sounds good! I'm sure he'll like whatever you give him. The last option for me is taking someone out for dinner and getting something small (if I don't know what to get). Dinner always works. But I think what you got is quite sufficient.

A laugh. For example, you could hide in a box, that your boyfriend brings to his house and then pop out of the box like:

when he opens the door. (and than give him the chocolate etc)

I think acknowledgement that you are gratful for his help will make him feel good about himself. If you write in the card that you appreciate his generosity, he'd be happy. The suggestion of a nice bottle of scotch sound like a good partner for this. I think when people get older they like to feel that they can help their families ect. I wouldn't bother trying to get him a fantaatic gift, he is probably capable of buying himself whatever he want anyway.

So yeah. . . give him the gift of wellbeing lol
