Batman vs Spiderman

Batman vs SpidermanOne on one obviously.
Batman's abilities consist of:
- Genius-level intellect
- Peak physical and mental conditioning
- Master martial artist, acrobat, detective, strategist, tactician, and
escapologist
- Use of high tech equipment, weapons, & gadgets
- Master of stealth
- Master of disguise
- Proficient with technology
- Access to vast wealth and criminal records
- Trained computer hacker
- Excellent observational skills
- Photographic memory
- Expert marksman
Spiderman's abilities are:
- Superhuman strength , speed , agility, stamina, reflexes, and
endurance
- Regenerative healing factor
- Ability to cling to most surfaces
- Able to shoot extremely strong spider-web strings from wrists
- Precognitive Spider-Sense
- Genius-level intellect
- Master hand-to-hand combatant
On paper it looks like it'd be a walk in the park for Spiderman. No ability that Batman possess can match spideys speed, agility, superhuman reflexes or spider sense.
But as you know, reality would probably tell a whole other story. In my opinion on their very first encounter, spidey would catch Batman by surprise. The fight would consist of Batman trying to blast Spiderman, but obviously with spiderman's speed and agility it'd be futile. It would end with spidey web blasting Batman to the ceiling or something with spidey escaping.
If they knew each other (they obviously wouldn't even fight as they would both know the other is good, but that's not the point of this thread) this would allow Batman to develop a device or weapon specifically designed to counter spideys abilities.
Anyway enough of my opinion, who will win and why (possibly describe what will happen in the fight, makes your post more entertaining)? -

I would vote for batman, not sure why but I think spidermans a bit of a douche. Probably because he let that guy escape who killed his uncle. -

Re: Batman vs SpidermanSpidey hasn't got genius level intellect. He has gifted intellect. Sorry if I'm being pedantic.
As for the fight, I'm sorry but Spidey curbstomps Batman unless Batman's prep includes some ridiculous arrays of weapons (preferably long-range) and he starts the fight a long distance away from Spidey.
However, even if Bats preps well (he's a bit of a prep-god), Spidey ain't stupid either. I'm sure there are many occasions in comics where he has outsmarted his opponents.Last edited by conquer; 26-06-2012 at 23:10. -

Which Robin though? Dick Grayson can be a beast at times and his Nightwing suit is cool. I also like Tim Drake as a character but he isn't on Bruce's or Dick's level in terms of combat. -

Re: Batman vs SpidermanI suspect that it would actually devolve into a pun-off.
Batman started strong in the 30's but dropped off while Spiderman has continued a high level of punning into the present day.
I'd say it would be a PUNishing encounter, but eventually Spidey would wrap it up. -

Re: Batman vs Spidermani'm defo more of a spidey person (and very much more of a marvel girl), i don't know, i prefer the idea of the genetic change causing the super abilities rather than a normal guy who trained and uses gadgets i guess.
