    accommodation at Bristol - help!
    Hi,
So i've decided to firm Bristol, but now i just don't know which accommodation to choose!
I'd prefer self-catered with an en-suite, but i know some halls have certain reputations such as halls in which international students usually converge in (this sounds bad, but i would obviously prefer to spend a year with people who i have stuff in common with): i'd prefer one which is sociable if possible. I've been looking at Goldney Hall and Woodland Court, but i was just wondering whether people have any advice for me?

I was in Woodland Court! Yes, it does have quite an international community - a lot of Asian and Eastern European postgraduates, and they tend to stick to themselves. They also complain a lot if you are talking, playing music or doing anything outside past 10pm, which wouldn't be a problem at other halls. But if you're an undergrad, the majority of people in your flat (between 4-7 people) will be undergrads too. There were about 100 of us this year, and we all stuck together and got on really well.

Also, when I had my friends over to stay at Woodland Court, they all commented on how nice it was compared to halls of residence at Bristol and other universities. An added bonus is you can wake up 10 minutes before your lecture and still make it on time, because it's so close

Goldney and Hawthorns look best for you.

For the best social scene, go for Badock/Hiatt Baker. The student houses tend to be a bit quieter, although Goldney is pretty good.
