    UEFA are at it again..
    Edit: Seems like someone was jumping the gun.

    However, doesn't take away from the fact that ;

    This is a couple of days after UEFA made it pretty clear they view 'illegal advertising' as a worse offence than racism after fining Bendtner £80k for dropping his shorts and Croatia £64k for their fans racist behaviour during the euros.

    They've refused Spains request for a minutes silence for Miki Roque, the 23 yr old spanish player who died recently.

    And no, it's not against the rules. As there was a minutes silence for Platinis mate, Thierry Roland, before the France-Sweden match.

    I am sad of this news. Is there a reason why?

    Surprising, seen as Platini is usually so far up Spain's ******* he comes out the other end.

    This makes absolutely no sense, cannot see any reason for refusing

    I saw a tweet which basically said the teams should kick off and just stand there for a minute. I hope they do this. There's no reason why they can't hold a minute's silence, it just makes no sense.

    I hope this has nothing to do with Spain beating France last weekend...

    What do you expect when UEFA is run by a biased, dictatorial arsewipe...

    Disgraceful. They want to respect the death of a 23 year old; why can't they? There's no reason why they can't, it would make absolutely no difference to the game.

    *****.

    Edit: OK, apparently UEFA haven't had any requests for a minutes silence. Doesn't change how I think about them though. See R4ndom's post below somewhere.

    Still they refused the minute of silence for the Spanish coach Preciado before the Italy - Spain.

    And they have not permited black bracelets for the Spanish team.

    What's Platini done wrong btw? He seems like a decent UEFA president to me.
