So you don't believe in God, but you believe in the Big Bang. But what caused it?
I don't see why I'm getting negs for asking a question which I've wanted to for ages
. But, I'm trying to beat my record for the most negs, so keep it coming bitches.

Re: Atheists - What caused the 'Big Bang'
Firstly, not all athiests believe in the big bang theory, and even religious people can still believe in it. I think people have theories as to how it was caused, though I don't know them myself. But it doesn't have to be a case of 'who' put it there, but 'what' caused it.
Why do you have to believe that a being of higher power created the world? -

Simply put, we don't know. -
Re: Atheists - What caused the 'Big Bang'
Although we dont know, we can postulate that primeval oscillations in the quantum world caused an ephemeral but substantial and momentous epoch accredited as "the inflationary period", which through its premise and a theoretical disposition is alluring, but obviously, it is a facet of science that is cumbersome to validate.

Why does someone have to have caused it?

Re: Atheists - What caused the 'Big Bang'First of all no one as best to my knowledge believes that someone created the Big Bang, it's just things that collided with each other and hey presto we're here!(Original post by hopingtobeadentist)
So you don't believe in God, but you believe in the Big Bang. But WHO caused it?
But one could ask the same question, WHO created God if we have established the fact that everything has a prior cause? Mind-boggling isn't it?!
The fact is no one will ever know the true answer! -
Re: Atheists - What caused the 'Big Bang'
"In many cultures it is customary to answer that God created the universe out of nothing. But this is mere temporizing. If we wish courageously to pursue the question, we must, of course ask next where God comes from? And if we decide this to be unanswerable, why not save a step and conclude that the universe has always existed?" - Carl Sagan
