I just firmed mmu for psychology and speech therapy! I really can't decide where to stay, I thought Daisy Bank was really nice and it's about half hour walk from the city, but then I don't know if i would rather stay at the All Saints site in the city! I think the halls is what we make of it so will have fun where ever we stay x
I'm going to firm MMU for speech and language therapy (or the joint course, still deciding :P) - but don't have a clue which accomodation, I was thinking about Daisy Bank, but don't want to be too far from the city centre for going out and such...

yeah im annoyed about how far it is from city centre but i think daisy bank will be what we make it. if we have loads of fun, exciting people there it will be amazing haha, we've got to make it good. just think how fit you'll be from all the walking.

yeah and I guess, if we're going out to town at night, it'll only be a wee bit more expensive for the taxi back :P haha I can't wait to get to MMU - just need to pass my exams :P

Think I'm applying for Cambridge halls. Obviously I've never done this before, and I am slightly worried about not getting any accommodation at all!?

Well, a mate of mine went to MMU for a year then dropped out, because the course wasnt for her. anyway, she stayed in cambridge and said they're the best, really sociable etc. But, apparently Cavendish is an absolute dump!

So i'm definitely now considering Cambridge or Oxford halls of course!

    Re: Accomodation help! (All Saints)
Come one guys, noboby knows about accommodation?
I 'm thinking about Briarfields hall (both standard and en-suite) or Oxford Court (en-suite). What's your opinion? Do you have a better recomendation?

    Thanks..

Yeah Daisy Bank is closest but the only thing with it is that its further away from the centre were the rest of the halls are..so for the social aspect thats why I'm picking Oxford Court would rather be near town for nights out etc and I don't mind doing a 10min walk to uni

Spoke to the lass on the phone today and she said that for All saints, the best halls are, Cambridge, Cavendish, Oxford and some private halls - victoria halls i think they're called. All those halls are like practically in the city centre, and this dude on my facebook is at MMU and he's staying in Cambrige halls and he said hes never got a taxi back to halls after a night out. and he only takes like 15 quid out!

Thanks for posting this. I was looking at Cambridge or Cavendish anyway, and your post has enhanced this for me.

You get four choices on the form (or i might have misheard her on the phone) so its first come first served i'm assuming! Definitely gunna go with Oxford or Cambridge - i really want an ensuite!
