Re: TSR, Whats your dream camera? I'll Start...Off the top of my head: Adam Greenfield, Kaplan Andreas, Amy-Mae Elliott and all the mobile photographers, Daniel Odio, and Adam Horwitz. I agree; I'm not arguing that it doesn't; I'm simply saying you can make money using nothing but your mobile phone, may it be through app development, marketing, blogging, photography, film, etc. Smart phones have begun outselling PCs, so I can definitely believe it is/will be possible to make a decent living from one's mobile phone. Not moreso than anything, but I doubt not at all.(Original post by DanBrwn)
I want you to post famous people who make lots of money by using just mobile phones please. No computers.
Also, you have missed the point of the whole discussion here. The number of people who make money from their top-end cameras well out weighs the number of people who make money from their top-end phones.
Lets say out of 1,000,000 iPhones 1 is used specifically for making money
Out of 100 Leica MP's 70 of those are being used specifically to make money
Thats the last time Im going to explain it to you. Its like trying to have a conversation with a religions fanatic here, no matter how much I try and help you understand the topic you will just talk over me and continue in your ignorance.
And how many of those 70 people won't be using computers or other peripherals? -
Re: TSR, Whats your dream camera? I'll Start...Seeing as it's a film camera, probably not many.(Original post by Id and Ego seek)

Re: TSR, Whats your dream camera? I'll Start...I've often thought that would be very odd - the body would be in a contorted position, the boobs and derriere wouldn't look natural at all, there'd be bulges in various places...(Original post by Skeppy)

Re: TSR, Whats your dream camera? I'll Start...Sony actually made an inferred camera that did this (accidentally) but they have since modified it to white out in bright conditions so perverts cant use it.(Original post by Skeppy)

Re: TSR, Whats your dream camera? I'll Start...Wait what?(Original post by eimmas)
I'd love a Nikon D7000 and then a collection of awesome lenses, rather than blowing all my money on a D4 (for example).
That being said, if someone offered me the likes of a Hasselblad I wouldn't decine...
D4 and a Hasselblad are completely different? Like, COMPLETELY different -
Re: TSR, Whats your dream camera? I'll Start...I never said they were alike... I was comparing the situation of having a cheaper body with more lenses in terms of practicality to still not refusing if someone were to offer me a beast of a camera like a Hasselblad. It was just a random example, haha.(Original post by DanBrwn)

Guess you misinterpreted what I meant. -
Re: TSR, Whats your dream camera? I'll Start...Well its just the fact that you basically cant use a digital Hasselblad outside unless it is glaringly bright(Original post by eimmas)

The D4 on the other hand is build for low light performance.
Its like saying you would like a race car, but you would love one of those new 250,000HP tractors that John Deer just released -
Re: TSR, Whats your dream camera? I'll Start...Fair doo's(Original post by Cake Faced Kid.)
My cousin has a MkII, I'm in love with it, beats my 500D to the ground. No experience of the MkIII, that's all, probably would be a wiser choice

Re: TSR, Whats your dream camera? I'll Start...Fair point, it was just a hypothetical situation :P I can but only dream of owning either a D4 or Hasselblad. Even a Mamiya or Rolleiflex... To be honest, I dream of owning too many cameras, and if I had these dream cameras I would happily spend my days taking photos, developing film, browsing digital files on the computer, and doing nothing else. Haha.(Original post by DanBrwn)

Since I'm a nikonian, I would like a D800 with 14-24, 24-70, 70-200, 200-400, 85 1.4, 50 1.4, 105 2.8 macro, 16mm fisheye and a couple of other accessories, such as some speedlites, a grip and so on.
I am not interested in making money from photography, but I consider that having quality equipment makes your hobby a lot more exciting. But all in all, this equipment will cost as much as an year spent at the uni, so for the moment it's way too much...who knows what the future reserves..
Currently I own a D90, which is a great camera overall and 18-55, 50 1.8 D and 70-300 VR lenses. I am pretty happy with the results I get from my kit, though there is room for improvement..
