Long time no poem...I've been poorly, to the extent of mildly delusional at times, so I have a whole lot of juicy lucid poetry-material in my head right now. More to come probably!

There is something in you
and I cannot match it.
Rips me like a hatchet,
snaps me like a match stick.
Teeth pierce my skin in a passion;
taste me, I’m your lethal ration.
Your sacrificial compassion.

I must pay the price to break ice.
I must not think once, not think twice.
I must never take your advice.

Throw me down, discard of me now.
Throw me down ‘til the walls break down.
Until the floorboards break.
Fall through with me. We ache.
We ache for the power we take.
