I personally love The Body Shop's "Extra Virgin Minerals" foundation.

For everyday it's great as it looks really natural, but it's also a good going-out foundation as you can build it up to get that flawless look. I've got pale-ish combination skin and have tried SO many foundations, for me this is the best so far! I don't mind paying a little extra than normal, it's worth knowing you have a good quality product that hasn't been tested on animals

I love Clinique foundations. Generally I prefer to wear tinted moisturiser than a face covered in foundation. I tend to look really weird if I cover my whole face in it. Clinique foundations are really light and look natural when applied. They're also great for sensitive skin.

for everyday use I use UNE powder foundation. for a night out or special occasion I use maxfactor miracle touch foundation with a very light coating of the une powder over the top.

the miracle touch gives an absolute flawless finish but I find that without the coating of powder it doesn't last very long at all, and I cba buying a separate setting powder when I use have a powder already.

    That link might help you!
Also I've heard LOTS of good things about Chanel vitalumiere aqua although I haven't tried it as it's quite expensive

I am currently using YSL's new foundation based on their bestseller, it's Le teint touche eclat. I really like it so far. It's buildable but naturally more light in its coverage, beautifully dewy and luminous.

I really hate heavy foundations. the likes of Estee Lauder double wear are just too heavy for my skin, and I don't think most people need that level of coverage when they're younger. It's just not very complimentary.

Other foundations I've liked: Make up Forever Face and Body (my favourite for over 5 years, I've only stopped using it because my shade regularly sells out), and Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum.

My foundation of choice at the moment is Estee Lauder double wear maximum Cover in 01 Creamy Ivory. For this gives the best and most even coverage, lasts for hours espcially when I use Clarins 'fix' make up' spray. Also a little goes a long way which makes the rarther expensive price of £27 worth it (just about).

I have both Max Factor Lasting Performance in Fair and Bourjois Healthy Mix in Vanille Clair, and I'd highlyyy recommend both. Healthy Mix possibly just edges it because it gives great coverage without feeling too heavy on my skin, and it smells lovely

estee lauder double wear is the best one I have come across. If you want less coverage there is double wear light which I love.

anyone recommend a high street brand for very oily, breakout prone skin? it wont be for everyday use, but for occasions and nights out. enough coverage to even out skin tone and to reduce the appearance of acne scars? i assume that the higher the coverage you want the heavier the foundation??

I've been using L'oreal's lumi magique it's not something I would normally have bought but the other half's mother bought it for me and I must say I love it although when I put it on the smell reminds me of face paint

But the finish is incredibly nice and I think it'll be going on my regular list although I may splash out on the Chanel one, how big is the bottle / if you wear it everyday how often do you have to replace it?

yes. the higher the coverage equals to a heavy foundation which is not good for the skin if you're prone to breaking out easily, it'll just make it a lot worse. the only way to wanting a full coverage foundation and avoiding breakouts is to make sure to take off ALL your make up when you come home after a night out, and making sure you clean your skin fully before going to bed.

I would take a look at the MAC counter (they do a wide range of foundations for different skin types). MAC is quite expensive but if you use the right amount, the products will last a long time. :yep:

I wish I could find I dewy foundation that doesn't make my T-zone look shiny :sigh:

Revlon Colorstay's my favourite, trying to use up the Maybelline Dream Creamy my mum bought me for Christmas (why?) at the moment though...it's average.

30ml. It doesn't seem like a lot of product for the price, but you really don't need to use much of it.

If you used it everyday, it would probably last you around 2 or 3 months.

I have combo/oily skin. My t-zone gets so oily you could grease a pan and fry an egg on it. I use Estee Lauder Double Wear. Gives amazing coverage and stays on my skin all day. I still get shiny - nothing will ever stop it - but this is by far the best one I've used.
