Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Top 5 Disney films
Having celebrated the end of my exams with a Disney marathon got me thinking- what are the top 5 Disney films (by this I mean animated films)
After much deliberation and soul searching, I have narrowed my favourites down to 5 (in no particular order);
-The Hunchback of Notre Dame (amazing movie, goose bump inducing soundtrack and deeper now that I realise that the gargoyles only talk in Quasimodo's imagination :_ ( )
-Atlantis: The Lost Empire (this film is the reason I believed that Atlantis was real for so long, plus Milo and Kida are sooooooooooo awesome!!! )
-Treasure Planet (I love the combination of CGI and hand drawn animation, plus the relationship between Jim and his father makes me cry every time)
- Mulan (girl disguised as boy who joins the Chinese army- need I say more?)
-Tangled (I love how they changed the story of Rapunzel so it actually makes sense, Pascal <3 and the lantern scene
)
So TSR...
What's your top 5 Disney (not pixar-disney) animated films??? -
Re: Top 5 Disney films
I don't understand how neither Aladdin or The Lion King have made it on to your list. I would see your list as more a Top 5 Underrated Disney films. But not Top 5 EVER Disney Films.
In no particular order (because I couldn't choose)
The Lion King
Aladdin
Beauty and the Beast
Peter Pan
Robin Hood.
And just an underrated one for luck, Basil the Great Mouse Detective. -
Re: Top 5 Disney films

2) Wall-E
3) Alice In Wonderland (2010)

Re: Top 5 Disney films
I love Mulan more than any of them. Followed by The Lion King. Followed by Lilo & Stitch.
I also adore Hercules for some reason XD I think it's just awesome. Oh, oh and The Little Mermaid
Hunchback of Notre Dame always made me cry.
Aladdin, Beauty & The Beast, The Aristocats, Lady & The Tramp all make me smile too
Including Pixar, Up!, Monsters Inc and Toy Story are amongst my favourites too. -
Re: Top 5 Disney films
1. alice in wonderland
2. dumbo
3. fantasia
they are my definate favourites. for the other 2 it varies on my mood and there are so many good disney films, especially old school disney films, that i love that makes it difficult to pick just 2, but its between: lion king, anastacia, mulan, emperors new groove, peter pan, the rescuers and robin hood.
Hunchback of Notre Dame always made me cry.
