Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Re: Top 5 Disney filmsWhen I see the question "Top X Disney Film" I generally think ones produced by Walt Disney himself, only they are true Disney films. It is shocking to see that none of the classics are in your list(Original post by bambi_eyes)
After much deliberation and soul searching, I have narrowed my favourites down to 5 (in no particular order);
-The Hunchback of Notre Dame
-Atlantis: The Lost Empire
-Treasure Planet
- Mulan
-Tangled
So TSR...
What's your top 5 Disney (not pixar-disney) animated films???
Anyway here is my list (Alphabetised):
- Cinderella
- Lady and the Tramp
- One Hundred and One Dalmatians
- Sleeping Beauty
- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
As you can tell, all were produced by Walt Disney

Re: Top 5 Disney films
1. Beauty and the Beast
2. The Little Mermaid
3. The Hunchback of Notre Dame
4. The Lion King
5. Pocahontas
*throws in top 10 for good measure*
6. Aristocats
7. Oliver and Company
8. The Fox and the Hound
9. Mulan
10. Sleeping Beauty
Runners Up: The Brave Little Toaster if that counts, Dumbo, Pinocchio, Bambi, Tarzan. Edited to add Hercules and Lady and the Tramp! Argh too many good Disney films.
I always was never fond of Aladdin that much. Loved Genie, loved the songs, but Aladdin and Jasmine? Least favourite hero and heroine.Last edited by eelnais; 01-07-2012 at 23:40. -

So glad someone's mentioned Fun and Fancy Free! It's very much ignored yet it's a great film!(Original post by briesandwich)
In no particular order:

The Aristocats
There are too many amazing films.
I wanted to put Fun and Fancy Free up there too.

Re: Top 5 Disney filmsI determined this too when my sister was watching it a couple months back and I revealed it to her... first time I had seen it in years and was quite the realisation!(Original post by bambi_eyes)
-The Hunchback of Notre Dame (amazing movie, goose bump inducing soundtrack and deeper now that I realise that the gargoyles only talk in Quasimodo's imagination :_ ( ) -
Re: Top 5 Disney films
I haven't sat and watched a good Disney movie for ages. That must change soon :O
1) Mulan - When it comes to girl power and the original badass, there is nothing better for me.
2)Lion King - Cause Hakuna Matata is a wonderful thing.
3)Jungle Book - The first Disney film I remember watching.
4)Peter Pan - Because, Tinkerbell! And pirates! And childhood forever!
5)Tarzan - I found it utterly thrilling.

I wanted to put Fun and Fancy Free up there too.
