    Recieved a Threatening Phone Call
Today, I answered my home phone and an Indian guy and says "Are you the homeowner" I said no, then he says "you better pay me my £5000 today or else" then hanged up..

No one in my household owes money, plus the person called with a private number..

Should I report this to the police??

You need to contact the police immediantly. Call 101 and you'll be put through to your local force's non-emergency number.

If everything you've said is true, (and I have no reason to doubt why it wouldn't be) then this is a very serious matter. I hope you aren't too upset or worried.

Sounds a bit prank-y to me, with the hanging up after the threat. I'd mention it to the police anyway - they might have phoned a few people so there could be a little case building.

Bit of an empty threat though, no details of who to pay the money to or anything

Are you sure you weren't prank called by one of your friends?

Lol, Indian? I've never ever ever heard of an aggressive Indian person; generally they seem to be incredibly chilled out.
I'd worry more if they had a Russian, Sicilian, Albanian, or East Lahndahn accent.

    Prank call tbh :holmes:

How did you know he was Indian? Did he say I am Sanjay or something? Sorry I am just confused. No racism. I am asian myself!

What a terrible attempt at a prank call, if it was one. That said though, if you're really worried, contact the police because on the off chance, this badass indian guy might ACTUALLY do something to you.
