What would happen if I put it on again? I googled it & people have said its fine to use after a few hours but no longer(Original post by fran.ha)
Unless it's bleach it's not going to lighten your hair any more. Also it will have been exposed to air now and will have lost most of it's reaction. So no.

Re: Hair dye HELP!Most box dye won't dramatically change you up a colour. And it sounds like your hair does not take dye well. Most dyes just deposit colour, and will use a tiny amount of peroxide to get the dye into the hair, but not enough to dramatically change colour, especially if your hair is not blonde.(Original post by sbreezy)

I wouldn't recommend using it again. The chemicals would have reacted and the dye developed. You could try but it would be at the risk of your hair.
If you want a lighter colour you need to bleach bath your hair up a bit to then apply the colour. -
Re: Hair dye HELP!I would strongly suggest going to the hairdressers before doing anything else to your hair!(Original post by sbreezy)
I just dyed my hair & you can barely see it. I still have some of the dye left over in its container & I resealed it. Can I reuse it to try get my hair lighter???
