Aston or Manchester for Pharmacy?
I got a conditional offer from Aston but a rejection from Manchester to get into the first year of pharmacy. The latter require me to start from foundation.
However, Manchester is really my favourite place to study as I heard that the place is so beautiful and vibrant. My family and my friends support me to choose where I really fond of as being an non-uk student, this might be the only chance I 'live' in UK.
Yet I feel so unsecure to choose Manchester as this seem to be a waste of time and money if I satisfy the requirement of Aston.
How is Aston and the city?? Which should I really choose?
Thx for the replies!

Re: Aston or Manchester for Pharmacy?Well Aston do have a 100% employment rate, also its a very well respected Pharmacy school. I decided to firm Aston.(Original post by wintumn)

I'm not an European but I always hear that Manchester is really a very well-developed student city. May I know what makes you thinking that Birmingham is a better city?(Original post by johnnyavfc)
Birmingham is a better city than Manchester so go to Aston

Re: Aston or Manchester for Pharmacy?Birmingham is very underrated as a city, there are at least 5 universities here. The media seem to love manchester where as they normally ignore birmingham for what it is. it has gone under a mjor face lift which has made the city very modern, it is the most visited shoppping destination in europe and was voted in the 20 places to visit in the New York times. Manchester is a nice place to visit, Birmingham is a far more historical and cultural place and it is the second biggest city in England.(Original post by wintumn)

Re: Aston or Manchester for Pharmacy? You get degree classifications with Pharmacy: 1st 2i, 2ii etc(Original post by Dubstep Prince)
Random question but can you get a e.g. A first in a medicine or pharmacy degree?
But with Medicine it's a pass/fail system. Mind you, it isn't the usual 40% pass rate, it's substantially higher.
Hope that helps mate. -
