Nope, none.
As for check-ups, I've just been seeing an optician as normal - Asda has a handy FAQ covering most things.

I'm not sure how expensive it is since it's been about a year since my last one, but since it's only costing me £3 per month for my lenses (unlike others, who can pay about £15), it's a small price to pay when you look at the saving I'm making!
