Settings -> Sound -> Touch sounds works for me.

    ^^^What Illusionary said.
I meant to say the key pad when you want to type something. Although I think it is always on though.

Ah, okay. Try this then: Settings -> Language & input -> Android keyboard (the settings button on the right) -> Sound on key-press.

Please can you tell me how to get rid of the touch sounds on the Nexus? I've tried what it says on the instructions but everytime I use the touch pad it still makes a sound.

How can you not like touch sounds? I hate the silence.

I've never liked them. The first thing I always do is to get rid of them.

I am trying to purchase an app using the pc and i get this message

"Uh oh. There was a problem.

We couldn't start your purchase because of a technical issue."

"Sorry, we were unable to process this request. Any charge will be automatically cancelled within 24 hours. Please try again after 24 hours."

got more info for you via google wallet

"Google has cancelled your order. You won't be charged.
Reason: Took too long to deliver
    Comments from Google: "auto cancelation""

in case you ask if my bank details are correct it is It is what I used to purchase my nexus 7

I've waited 24hours and the problem still persist. Just to see if the fault lies with the app I made several purchases and I still get the same error.

I'm thinking of getting this tablet when I'm back in the UK next month - it looks awesome. I read on xda that a lot of people were having issues with the screen popping out although - has anyone here in the UK had this issue? I'm hoping that it's only limited to the American batches as they were shipped first.

From what I've been reading it has happened in the UK. I haven't experienced it yet...

Can't offer much advice but have you emailed Google? I am sure they'll want to sort it for you.

Do let us know how it goes..
I've had my tablet for over 48 hours and it is brilliant. It does everything I needed it for; Checking emails and just browsing the net with the odd you tube video.

Adobe I really don't know who to direct my anger to:confused:
You should be rejoicing that Adobe are finally giving up.

    Blame the Beeb.

I've just discovered that I'm entitled a tax rebate, and so have very wisely decided to spend it on unnecessary luxury goods and thus will be buying a Nexus 7.

    Yay!

Is there still a delay with shipping from Google? Is there a shipping charge?

How are Nexus 7 owners getting on with their devices?

Has anyone had any trouble with faults?

Does the iplayer app work ok? I take it you can't use the actual website due to no flash.

    How is browsing without flash?

They were having trouble keeping up with demand last I checked, so there may still be delays. I expect shipping estimations can be found on the website somewhere.

I'm loving mine, no issues whatsoever [= haven't had a chance to try the iPlayer app yet due to patchy internet access, I'll get back to you on that one. I personally never use flash even for desktop browsing, so it hasn't been an issue for me =P

I just got mine today, I was greeted with this nifty tool when I visited the XDA Nexus 7 section.

It's running fine; I have played some intense Tegra 3 optimised games and I am not having the unresponsiveness issue!
