    Motorbike / motorcycle / moped / scooter
Well, I don't really know the difference between the above (thread title).. I just wanted to know which one is generally the cheapest, and more importantly which one is the easiest to ride (for someone starting with 0 experience lol)..

Motorcycle/motorbikes go faster than scooters/mopeds and they sound more powerful. They're bigger too.

'Moped' have a specific definition in law. <50cc, restricted to less than 31mph. Requires CBT to ride on with L-plates, CBT being valid for 2 years. Becomes full entitlement with a car licence + CBT. (or just with a car licence if car licence was obtained before February 2001).

Scooter can mean moped, or can mean a 125cc motorbike.

A 125cc motorbike can be riden on L-plates with CBT for 2 years before CBT has to be done again. Pass your test on a 125cc (capable of at least 62mph) and it becomes a full licence. (Though this will change on 19th Jan 2013 when, thanks to the EU, you won't get a proper motorbike licence any more)

Thanks a lot for the info, which one would be easiest to learn how to drive though?

Mopeds/scooters usually have automatic gears, motorcycles usually do not. So, generally scooters are easier to learn to ride.

Scooter is the easiest to drive as they're automatic and usually smaller engine/lighter(Usually, few exceptions of large scooters but most are 50cc(eg, a moped) or 125cc(Rideable on a CBT as said above.

Motorbikes/motorcyles are the same thing and are all 2 wheeled vehicles including scooters but normally meaning the larger ones with bigger more powerful engines. These are more fun(fast ) but heavier/more expensive to run/insure normally...

    Also, for reference.

    Scooter

    Motorbike
