I think I'm in love with my best friend...(0:So I go to a non-denominational church and met this chick there, and we hit it off and became really good friends. Then she kind of introduced me to her brother and it snowballed from there.
We weren't really friends at first and being honest we didn't really like each other (I thought he was ugly. He thought I was a stand-off. That solidified it). But then I heard from a few people that last summer he had a bit of a crush on me, but I didn't really take the time to acknowledge this, because I was too busy dwelling on this other guy (who proved to be quite the ******* before too long). And when fall rolls around, we actually start talking more and become really close. I think by then I was starting to experiment with whether or not he really did like me, until December when I figured out that this experiment resulted in the exact opposite way. This little crush lasted for 2 months, and then in around April, one of my friends gets me to realize that I'm still not completely out of him and that I really have liked him the whole time.
Since then, it's gotten a bit complicated. I've (unintentionally) dropped a few hints to him about how I really feel, but I'm too stupid to tell whether or not he's caught on. And it makes my heart do this little skittering thing when he tells me that I'm prettier without makeup and that my laugh is cute in a weird way (hint hint, my laugh is pretty annoying to a lot of people, including myself).
I've never had such a strong urge to ask someone out before. But is it really unsophisticated for a girl to make a move first? Thanks.

If your friend had to make you realise you have liked him the whole time, you probably didn't...
But no, girls who ask boys out are not unsophisticated, just confident and straightforward about their feelings. That is sexy.
